Grants for Nigerian Nonprofits Focused on Training
and Supporting Entrepreneurs
In accordance with its mission and objectives, FATE USA
is committed to providing grants to Nigerian nonprofit
organizations that:

Focus on promoting business development
and entrepreneurship among low-income aspiring and
emerging entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

Have a credible track record as demonstrated by the
implementation of annual audits and the creation of annual
strategic plans.

Have specific funding requirements for projects which
directly or indirectly reduce unemployment and poverty
in urban Nigeria.

Are prepared to submit semi-annual
reports on the use and impact of FATE USA's funds,
and to remit receipts
associated with the implementation of the proposed
project/initiative as applicable.

Able to demonstrate that they have received donations
from credible domestic and international organizations.

Able to demonstrate that they have utilized these funds
effectively for fulfilling pre-set objectives.
Logistics for the Grant Funding Cycle
Nonprofit organizations in Nigeria which are interested
in obtaining financial support from FATE USA should submit
a two-page letter of inquiry to fatefoundationusa@yahoo.com.
This letter of inquiry should include the following:
- A brief description of your organization’s mission,
constituency or beneficiaries, recent achievements, and
program structure.
- A concise statement of the goals to be achieved by
a particular project. Specifics about your proposed approach,
planned activities, and expected results should be included.
- Primary geographic service area for your project organization.
- A description of the type of entrepreneurs that your
organization will be serving (e.g., first-time urban
entrepreneurs, emerging entrepreneurs, etc.)
- A description of how support from FATE USA will help
you achieve your organizational goals.
- The amount of the request. A line-item budget is not
required at this stage.
Suitable candidates will be invited to submit full proposals
by April 30th.
