FATE Entrepreneur/Winner - Wharton African Business Plan Competition
FATE is proud to announce that the first and third place winners of the Wharton African Business Plan Competition were FATE trained entrepreneurs! Chetaizu Agbo took home the $5000-first place award for his business plan, MindaXcess, an educational comic book that would appeal to Nigerian youths. Educational topics would include messages on being a responsible citizen, Nigerian political and cultural history, and AIDS awareness. Yomi Layeni, the $2000-third place winner, proposed a plan for a Facilities Management company. Barlay Constructions, the proposed business, plans to undertake renovation and maintenance of residential buildings in Nigeria.

Fall 2003 After-Work Mixer
Change begins with you! With over 40 people in attendance, FATE USA presentes its mission and vision for Nigeria, Africa's most populous country. The program coordinator stressed the need for individual involvement in order to precipitate change.

FATE Boston Chapter Hosts Two Cultural Evenings
FATE USA's Boston volunteers and board members hosted two events to benefit the organization: an evening of music and poetry in downtown Boston, and a screening of two outstanding African films in Harvard Square, Cambridge. To learn more about FATE USA's upcoming and recent events, click here.
